After triumphing at Listowel Writers Week in 2011, UK theatre company Hotbuckle - troubadours to the bone - return to these shores for the Dickens bicentenary. With just five actors of astonishing versatility playing the full array of roles, this troupe explode onto the stage with this innovative and exhilarating adaptation of one of Dickens' greatest novels.
With all the comedy, mystery, violent melodrama, suspense and poignancy of the original, it tells of Pip's journey from boyhood to manhood as he seeks to discover who he is and find his place in an inhospitable world. It is a story of love and loss, of guilt and shame, of fear and courage and has some of the most vivid and memorable characters in all of English literature.

Rose is a survivor. Her remarkable life began in a tiny Russian village, took her to Warsaw's ghettos and a ship called 'The Exodus' and finally to the boardwalks of Atlantic City, the Arizona canyons and salsa-flavoured nights in Miami Beach. The play is both a sharply drawn portrait of a feisty Jewish woman and a moving reminder of some of the events that shaped the last century. More

Griswold
by Arnold Thomas Fanning
Griswold is a riveting new play full of black humour about the dysfunctional relationship between two men who both need and depend on each other to survive in a hostile environment. Two young Irish men are living illegally in a post 9/11 New York, their lives falling far short of the American Dream. Living in dire financial straits their mutual friendship comes under unbearable strain as they struggle to survive in the most ridiculous and dangerous of circumstances. Griswold is darkly comic and dramatic, an experience not to be missed.
Arnold Thomas Fanning is a new writer whose work articulates a fresh and dislocated Irish voice. More
