Playing a cocktail of well known songs from The Democratic Republic of Congo plus their own compositions, their concerts will usually start with some gently swaying traditional Congolese Rumba made popular by legendary bands like Luambo Franco's TPOK Jazz & Ochestre Matimilla, the signature sound of Kinshasa in the late 70s. Once the audience have warmed up, the band will turn the heat up further and after a few gear changes The Lace are in overdrive, playing the latest Kinois Soukous dance music, with fast, interweaving rhythmic guitars and some sublime solos they will take the audience with them, without fail, for a true Congolese Soukous dance workout.
