9th Jun 2011 (Thu) - 31st Dec 2014 (Wed) from 12:00 - 12:00
There are over 30 ‘short stories’ in these new audio tours of the historic gardens and glasshouses at Glasnevin. And all told to the delightful accompaniment of Thomas Moore’s famous song, The Last Rose of Summer, a cutting from which is growing in the garden.
Green audio tour: explore the historic glasshouses and Great Palm House, for fascinating stories about exotic plants.
Yellow audio tour: an easy-going stroll around some of the garden’s historic highlights, including a poetic avenue of 300-year-old yew trees.
Red audio tour: this route takes you to the river and back, and features wildlife, plant hunting, and even some philosophy.
