Join sapphic storyteller Breda Larkin in this hilarious and thought-provoking exploration of her life through the triple lenses of sexuality, religion and em…facial hair.
Follow Breda as she journeys from 'getting the shift' with the local lads for 'cream buns n' snickers' to breaking the hearts of her imaginary lesbian camogie team and cartoon reporter April O' Neill, by falling in love with a beautiful real live girl and becoming a fully-fledged dickie-bow aficionado. Kill The Monster is a longform improvisation group which emerged from No Drama Theatre. For people unfamiliar with "Improv" it is unscripted and involves the creation of a scene from nothing more than audience suggestions. In Longform Improv, Kill The Monster create not just scene after scene but also magically weave, braid and reveal an unscripted theatrical play from a mere word or anecdote offered by the audience. These theatrical plays unravel before the audience's eyes over a 30 minute or longer piece of time intertwining plots of romance, revenge, joy, deviousness, excitement, tragedy, comedy and comic tragedy in an entertaining dramatic spectacle. Don't miss it! More

The play is set behind the doors of a presbytery in the 1970's and follows the exploits of the resourceful priest's housekeeper. Moll is a dedicated but single-minded woman. Indeed, at times, she wields more power than the Canon and has a definite agenda of her own that includes the introduction of bingo, a strict regime for the curates in her care and, perhaps, a little something for herself into the bargain!
