    Twelve Limerick artists throughout the year - is part of the Hunt Museum's contribution to Limerick City of Culture 2014. The works on display - one artist each month - is the personal selection of Naomi O'Nolan, the Museum's Head of Exhibitions. A key member of the museum team since the Museum's inception Naomi has a strong interest in, and enthusiasm for, contemporary Irish art. Her selection of artists affords the viewer an insight into a diverse, and yet clearly defined, and personalised, aesthetic. In this respect her selection mirrors the diversity of taste found throughout the Hunt Collection. More

    Temporary Exhibition The Battle of Clontarf was fought a thousand years ago - Good Friday (23rd April), 1014. The National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology is marking this anniversary with an exciting exhibition, officially opening from 10th April 2014. This ground-breaking exhibition will explode myths and present the evidence we have for what actually happened at Clontarf, what led up to the battle and what resulted from it. Viking and Irish weapons, typical of those used in the battle, will feature alongside hoards of precious silver objects and religious treasures. Much more recent artefacts will bring the story of Brian Boru and Clontarf right into modern times. Located on the first floor. Not wheelchair accessible. All Aged More

    The 49-bell Carillon of St Colman's Cathedral in Cobh is the only such instrument in the Republic and the largest in Ireland and Britain. Recitals take place throughout the year but especially on most Sunday afternoons from 4.30 to 5.30 from May to September and are usually presented by the Cathedral Carillonneur, Adrian Gebruers, with occasional guest recitals by visiting performers from at home and abroad.
