East meets West in University Hospital Galway's latest exhibition; Orient Occident an exhibition of new paintings by Anne Korff, is currently on display in University Hospital, Galway on the Arts Corridor.
This exhibition is a celebration of the beauty of Islamic art as seen by a 'Westerner'. The artist hopes to encourage the viewer to embrace cultural diversity and the opening of dialogue that might help build bridges between the Christian and Islamic worlds.

The Silâns editions - the title is taken from the phonetic spelling of silence in French - are a valuable insight into a period of significant artistic creativity, experimentation and enquiry in London. Sky, WWF and the Gallery of Photography are pleased to announce the Irish premiere of 'AMAZON', an exhibition in aid of Sky Rainforest Rescue, featuring the work of two award-winning photographers - Sebastião Salgado and
Per- Anders Pettersson, which opens to the public on 1st March 2012 at the Gallery of Photography.
The exhibition, brings together two remarkable, distinct bodies of photography, highlighting the plight of the Amazonian rainforest and the people living within it and showcasing the efforts of Sky Rainforest Rescue, a three year partnership between Sky and WWF, that began in 2009 and aims to help save one billion trees in the state of Acre, Northwest Brazil. More

He has exhibited both nationally and internationally and divides his canvas into panels of various weights, depicting mood, texture, movement, detail, compositing, lines and rhythms. This show is based on water sources and reflections, and the memory spaces these evoke.

Irish Writers is a series of contemporary photographic portraits of Irish women writers. Writers photographed include Moya Cannon, Marina Carr, Anne Enright, Rita Anne Higgins, Jennifer Johnston, Paula Meehan, Eilean Ni Chuilleanain, Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill, Eilis Ni Dhuibhne, Medbh McGuckian, Sinead Morrissey and Mary O'Donnell. Originally commissioned by Cavan Arts Office to accompany a literary festival dedicated to women's writing, the portraits stand as a contemporary visual record of significant women writers of fiction, poetry and drama working in Ireland today. More
