    City Library | Grand Parade | Christchurch Cork World Book Fest - a vibrant celebration of the book in all its aspects over five days. The 2014 Fest will be the 10th edition, running from Tuesday 22nd to Saturday 26th April. In 2014 we will again reach out to continental European writers. Alannah Hopkin is guest curator and will host a Roberto Bolaño evening. We will present Best European Fiction for a third year, and welcome Catalan and Italian writers. Nicole Kelby (US) and Anakana Schofield (Canada) will feature in an Irish diaspora session. With delight we present "Get Published!", a session on alternative ways to get your work into print. Saturday 26th April will feature a cultural streetfair on Grand Parade. More

    Music in Drumcliffe with the Vogler Quartet and Guest Artists, Drumcliffe, Co Sligo. Music in Drumcliffe is set in one of the most beautiful locations in Ireland at the foot of Benbulben mountain and in the heart of Yeats country. This year's festival sees the addition of a concert presented by Con Brio in tribute to the late John Ruddock. John was an ardent supporter and promoter of chamber music in Ireland since the 1960s. He attended every performance by the Vogler Quartet in Sligo since 1999. The concert will include not only his two favourite chamber groups, the Vogler Quartet and the Trio di Parma but also his favourite works. It is a great honour to have his friend fellow chamber music champion, Eamonn Lawlor present the concert. More
